A life that inspires

In December, a celebration service was held in honor of the elder brother Jurek Polok’s anniversary. The whole church gathered with gratitude in their hearts to thank the dear brother for his service, hear more about his life, and be edified by his example.

1 Corinthians 4:7: “For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?”

Humility is a basic requirement for sanctification. Man is programmed to think that he knows better and knows more than others. There needs to be a moment when he admits that he is not useful for anything, then he can do good works by being an instrument of God.

1 Corinthians 15:10: “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.”

This was a great opportunity to examine our lives and think about what more we can do for God and for our fellowship.

People gathered around tables where a meal and coffee were served. This allowed the meeting to go on longer and no one had to rush home. Such moments will be remembered for years to come.

Even though the meeting hall was practically too small for everyone who wanted to attend, we were encouraged by all that we experienced. We look forward to the completion of the new church building in Ustroń, where we can gather together with more space for meetings and fellowship.
